We Have a Time!
I called patient flow a little bit ago and she said they will definitely have a bed for me today, but it probably won't be until 3 or 4. I'm thankful for more time with my hubby and puppy and to be able to walk Blue on this gorgeous 70 degree spring day. Neighbors are preparing for a community yard sale, so the two sweet ladies organizing it are going to come this afternoon to get any of the things we haven't been able to give away yet and take them so no one has to make a giveaway trip. God's timing, provision, and protection is always perfect! Jord does seem to be doing a little better and I got him a Dr.'s appointment with our PCP made to follow up with everything. Doing treatments now and then gonna walk Blue and pack some more things and build my giveaway pile. God has been so gracious in sustaining me in "must function mode", especially to be able to be up for 24 hours and then only get 4-5 hours of interrupted sleep and then still function and accomplish things that needed to get done. We are gonna go ahead and get a POA so Jord can sign for me at closing so we aren't worried about that--one less thing on our minds.........Now it's praying, working while I wait today, and then some more sweet fellowship with Jenny on the drive down and one last good meal out before I go in for reals this time. :) I forgot to link this but here is the link to the sign up genius Sarah set up for those that are local and can visit me in the hospital to help out since the medications will make me super dizzy and I will be a fall risk. The nurses and techs on the floor are amazing, but when they have 5 plus patients, it's impossible for them to respond right away to calls, so we've learned from past experience, it helps them and helps me to have someone on hand, if possible, to help me get to the bathroom or go for walks to get out of the room--exercise is so critical for my lungs and when I'm a fall risk, I obviously can't walk alone and when I'm not dizzy I get out of my room and walk probably 5 or 6 times a day depending on treatment times etc. I also go to get better food than the hospital food--the menu is better than some hospitals, but towards the end of two weeks the same menu day after day gets pretty boring--and lets face it--hospital food is hospital food.........so here's the link: I can't tell prior to publishing this if the link is there or going to work so here is the website address you can copy/paste into your browser if the link isn't working for some reason: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C45AAAD28A1FAC70-55739312-visiting ....if anyone reading this is familiar with blogger formatting and could help me figure out why the formatting stuff suddenly changed and certain things aren't working that would be great!!!! I should have time in the hospital to look into it and figure it out but a helping hand is always welcome!.............Treatments just finished, so I'm gonna get to work but I, or my sweet friends, Faith and Addy, will keep you all posted on hospital happenings! :) Thank you again for all the prayers, love, and support--they truly mean the world to us!!! In the Love of the Lamb, Rachelle (and Jord) :) P.S. ~Ignore the towels on the floor, but Jord finally caught Blue "hugging" me on camera this morning--and then attacking me with her licks lol...also our "last yard pics" since the house will be someone else's when I get discharged....bittersweet...this is the first house we've had the whole thing built for us (we've done an addition in the past) and when we moved we were so excited about this house and especially our yard. We watch the colorful Alabama birds (and funny squirrles) everyday--we've seen deer (before homes were built behind us), raccoons, possums, and squirrels...4 male cardinals at once--they hang around a lot and are gorgeous in the snow....I will miss the yard, but so very thankful for the sweet memories we made here--even in just 3 1/2 years there were a lot of joys and sorrows in this home--family and friends came to visit, New Year's Eve parties, countless movies watched--lots and lots of fellowship! We lost Roxy here, a handful of hospitalizations (but no psychoses so that's a BIG win!), seasons of depression, challenging trials, and through it all the same unchanging faithful God! We know that same God is very clearly guiding and directing our path forward. I'm so thankful for Mom and Dad T's willingness to help us and that we can help them too. Excitedly looking to the future that He holds!
