I spent most of the morning dozing in between doctors and nurses and techs coming and going. I was able to unhook from my IV pole for a bit and put my own dress on which always feels good to get out of the hospital gowns. I also did a really short walk up and down the hall a couple times to try and get things moving. I’m finally starting to cough up a ton of thick bloody mucus from my lungs. Some of the blood from the surgery drained into my lungs so gotta clear that. My RT was here and I coughed up what looked like a jello cluster—it had been stuck in my nose but then was driving me batty cause it was tickling the top of my throat but I couldn’t clear it initially…in true RT fashion she was super excited that I cleared it out. I did take a picture but I’m not gonna post it cause I know not everyone can handle that sort of thing but if you want to see it just let me know and I’ll text you the picture lol.
Docs are still waiting on sensitivities from cultures they took from my surgery and then the lung sputum culture I gave yesterday. Will probably be here a couple more days at least to make sure I’m covered by the right antibiotics. Well I better go again cause I just dozed off with this open and my phone in my hand lol…let’s just say my body needs lots of sleep right now. I’ll update more later. 💖 Thanks again for all the prayers, love, and support! It truly means the world!
In My Savior’s Mighty Grip,
Rachelle
