Hospital Day 1

We made it down around 5:30 and I saw one of the NP's and talked about what we talked about in clinc last week. There were some differnces in the order notes so we did the CT scans and got my port accessed (my nurse tonight is a newer nurse that started in June and normally works a differnt floor and this is her first time floating to a different floor so she is way outside her comfort zone but is super sweet) on the second try--my nurse missed but gave it a good try so she got the charge nurse who is incredibly sweet and got it right away AND she has a butterfly tattoo. :) They are monitoring my oxygen around the clock now and we talked about monitoring my HR rate too since that's been elevating so that will probably come tomorrow. The other big change with this admission is breathing treatments are every 6 hours around the clock--in the past they have always been "while awake" so I didn't get woken up but with how bad I'm feeling they are stepping up the game. I'm thankful for how seriously they are taking it, but I'm going to be getting lots of interrupted sleep--Jord joked I'll just have to take naps around the clock lol. Speaking of, I'm pretty tired so gonna sign off for now but wanted to give a little bit more of an update--they did order one antibiotic to start tonight, but I haven't ever taken it, and with all my crazy reactions, I didn't feel comforatable starting it at night so the nurse presented it saying, "they did order this but she said you would probably refuse it tonight and you can talk to the doctor in the morning" so I'm so thankful for their acknowledgement of all of my reactions and being sensitive and understanding of that. OH! The other fun answers to prayer is that I prayed for one of the bigger rooms and and "ICU bed" that has a special air type mattress that adjusts constantly and is WAY more comforatable than the regular beds and God said yes to both prayers--a super comfy bed AND a ginormous room--literally double to triple the size of most of the rooms on the floor so it will be perfect for people visiting and staying overnight when I have the minor surgeries etc. :) SO thankful that God cares about the "little" things in our lives that aren't so little! He is such a good and trustworthy God! Below are some pics of Jenny and Susanna moving me in lol...when I know I'm coming for a long time I don't travel lightly LOL.
